Had one mean campin trip wit mah group. Late nights early mornings. We worked hard all week. Can see the difference we made. Me an mah baddah dylon cookin everynight.. But now its ova. Dunno wen goin see errybody. Afta sunday. But hopefully we all meet up an join next year..

Kualoa ranch

Working at Kualoa ranch was an interesting experience. The work was hard and dirty, but in the end, what we accomplished as a team was amazing. All our hard work paid off after seeing the koa grant area free and clear of guinea grass and weeds. Having a little reward of relaxation and fun at secret island didn't hurt either.

Had wun pretty killah week wit john up hakipu'u. Even though we did the same things during the week. We could see the difference we made workin at the lo'i and the koa enclosure. End the week wit a day at the beach. Now its our last week. Gonna make it a mayjah campin trip

This week was fun. We got to get close to the 'aina with mud fights in the lo'i (while cleaning out those many weeds of course). Helping to prevent cows from getting to those koa trees may have been hot and humid but it was well worth it. Our work will definitely pay off when the koa trees are big and strong a few years from now. The best part had to be ending the week at Secret Island where we got to stand up paddle board and go kayaking. Yeah Team C one more week left!

Only 2 weeks left

I can't believe this thing is more then half way done. Been through so much with my team, and i'm not sure if i want to say bye just yet. I know we have two long weeks of getting down and dirty left but i feel the ending anxieties. And its a sad feeling.

Fun week walking/swimming to the island and helping those baby birds. It was cool going up into the mountains and talking with Syd and his crew. We really had to rough it but it was awesome. Those pigs that we saw were so cute!

Had one mayjah week with da guys from DOFAW. They da best so far man. Smood guys no how fo work n have a good tyme..haha syd was trippin wen we was chillin in the mud at Pohala Marsh. Hopefully can see dem again.. Well hopefully next week is a good one two

Syd and his gang

Had a killah time up in waianae and the mountains wit syd and his gang. I enjoyed the camping and helping the birds on the island offshore. While doing so we had great convo's wid syd and his group and it made my week worthnwhile. If I could do it again I would! -Andre

DOFAW CREW'(:

Hoooooo baaaah this week was the most killah week evah with Syd Boy them. Gotta do one HANA HOU with these guys. For work with syd boy, who also knows his laau lapa'au which is my main focus, also to be able to olelo kanaka with my cite manager, first one i could olelo kanaka with so far, WAS KEEELAH. Syd Boy and his crew had made an huge impact on me, and has been a huge encouragement to me, such an inspiration, im keeping my eyes open for more jobs/ internships whatsoever that would lead me further and further into my main focus, which is to become a laau lapaau pratitionist and give back to the aina that has malama me for many years. Hopefully i will be able to meet or better work again with Syd Boy. One of the highlights of this whole week would be the Aloha, and Hana nui we all did together and the proudness we put on Syd Boys face. He was so amazed to see us jump into that muddy marsh at Pohala and enjoy it haha. Syd boy was amazed to see us do so.The funniest highlight would be Me, Kama, Kai and Dylon raceing from Travis to Syd in the muddy marsh, was so hard and hillarious, we look like turttles.

craaaaazy week with dr.bruce(: learned couple more new plants stored in my memory card in my head,haha. cutting grass was killah. was supah funny when me and dylon challenged kai and taylor on that last tree cut,haha. The highlight of this week was the camp up Palehua, sooooo u'i ka 'ikena i laila, Hana Hou. buraaaaaah we stayed up all night and morning had a power nap (10 minutes, 20 the most) and we was wakeing up to a hikeing trip at 430 with Anu. was keeeeeelah, cheee i found my maile treee up dea, I GOING BACK fo 'um(:

Killah week. Planted up at the ke puka with Dr.bruce. Best part was when we went campin. Mayjah part wen we stayed up till early morning chilen and talkin story knowin we had to get up at four and hike:)
